Coat Treatment

Pups & Brushes: Grooming 101

Setting your pup up for a lifetime of spawesome experiences starts with a gentle introduction to grooming! These short sessions involves making them comfortable with being touched, brushed, and having their paws, ears and mouth handled. We'll use positive reinforcement with treats and praise to create a calm and happy association with grooming. It'll be a fun first step towards keeping your furry friend healthy and looking their best! In addition, we have lots of useful resources and information to help your pup reach their full potential.

Taking the Edge Off: Intro to Grooming for Nervous Dogs

Does bath time turn your pup into a shivering mess? This session is aimed on desensitising your furry friend to grooming, making it a positive and relaxing experience. - Introduce grooming tools gently, letting your dog sniff and get comfortable. - Turn brushing into a bonding session with praise and treats. - Desensitize your dog to sounds like clippers and dryers with gradual exposure. - Create a calm and positive atmosphere for a stress-free grooming routine.

New Clients

Free Assessment: All new clients are required to schedule a free assessment prior to their first grooming appointment. This allows our groomers to meet your pet, assess their temperament and coat condition, and discuss your grooming preferences.
Booking: New client appointments can be made by phone, email, in person, Whatsapp or on-line. Please provide us with your contact information and details about your pet (breed, age, any health concerns).

Aggressive or Anxious Pets

We strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all animals. If your pet exhibits aggressive or extremely anxious behaviour, we may need to reschedule the appointment or complete the groom on a second appointment.

Appointments & Cancellations

Cancellations: We understand that things happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us with at least 24 hour’s notice.
Same-Day Cancellation/No-Shows: A cancellation fee of 10% of the scheduled service price will be applied to any appointments cancelled on the same day or for no-shows. This fee helps us compensate our groomers for their time and allows us to accommodate other clients.
Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened grooming session or rescheduling, depending on availability.

Matted Coats

Additional charges may apply for de-matting/ shaving heavily matted coats. This will be discussed with you during the consultation or upon arrival.

We create a perfectly fitted harness for each dog. The Trailhounds harness channels the pulling force (or drag) to the shoulders and chest, enhancing comfort and control.
